Open Gathering: A Year in Trump's America

  • Loyola University Chicago - Beane Hall (13th fl) 111 East Pearson Street Chicago, IL, 60611 United States (map)

It’s been nearly a year since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States of America and to say that this year has been challenging for many would be a gross understatement. Countless numbers of people have been threatened and harmed by the actions of his administration as well as by those living and working alongside them. Join us for a conversation about the realities we’ve held in the last year, what we’re doing to be well in light of all we’ve seen and experienced, and what (if anything) is giving us hope.

CFI’s Open Gatherings are a time and place dedicated to navigating delicate, thorny conversations within a safe and charitable environment. We have a lot of questions and often find ourselves talking about subjects that are either ignored or seen as taboo in most social contexts. This public gathering consists of regulars and newcomers with a wide range of identities, orientations, and beliefs who are united by a shared interest of engaging in constructive dialogue and inclusive community.

If you’re asking the same questions we are, consider joining us! We invite you to come meet with us during the first Monday of the month for our discussion.
